Koninklijke Van der Wees group was founded in Delft in 1907, and at that time, provided a regular shuttle service from The Hague via Delft and Rotterdam to Dordrecht. Business activities quickly expanded to include specialised transport of heavy and comprehensive loads, by road and by water. Today we are major players in specialised transport, anywhere in the world.
We handle all the transport we can carry out with our material, and that is a lot. Road transport up to a maximum length of 65 metres, special transport by water or storage and transhipment of containers, general cargo, steel pipes and sheet piling; everything is possible at Van der Wees. This includes, for example, transport of wind turbine wings; a growing market thanks to the increasing demand for renewable energy sources. We can also position new bridges, thanks to our extensive fleet of pontoons, tugs and pusher craft. With our 550 metre-long quay, we offer a range of storage and transhipment options. We would be delighted to rent out our closed outdoor storage area of 90,000 m2 and the 9,000 m2 warehouse space for storing your material.
Van der Wees is in a constant state of development and retains a focus on new options. The combination of expertise, experienced staff and our own materials makes us both decisive and customer-oriented. With the direct connection to the A16 -E19, a railway connection right by the door and the quay directly on the Oude Maas, we are based in a fantastic location. Come along and see us, our door is always open!
